| Civil War Preservation Trust |
| The Civil War Preservation Trust is a nonprofit organization that responds to the irresponsible development and eradication of America’s Civil War battlefields. It has been an active voice for the protection of the Mansfield Battlefield. In addition to promoting preservation of the site, the Trust has funded purchase of 143 acres of battlefield which it donated to the Mansfield State Historic Site. This increased the number of protected acres from 34 to 177. |

| The Louisiana Preservation Alliance has been recognized as the statewide representative for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism has likewise recognized the LPA as the only official statewide historic preservation organization. |
